ISLAMABAD: The Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said the judiciary has become a tool of the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
Speaking in the National Assembly here on Saturday, Chaudhry Nisar said that decision to disqualify Sharif brothers had support of the Aiwan-e-Sadr. Nisar said President Zardari should not affront people’s mandate in Punjab.
The opposition leader further said the PML (N) enjoyed a majority of 174 members in Punjab Assembly while support of 186 members was required to form provincial government, “we also have support of forward block to form government in Punjab”, he added.
Chaudhry Nisar said there were 107 members of the PPP in Punjab Assembly and still it wanted to form government. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Sherry Rehman strongly protested when Chaudhry Nisar spoke against President Zardari in the house. PML (N) parliamentarians also chanted anti-president and governor-rule slogans.
