Michael Jackson’s death has been ruled a homicide. Associated Press reports forensic tests found the anesthetic propofol combined with at least two sedatives to kill Jackson. Official say based on those tests, the Los Angeles County Coroner has ruled the death a homicide.

According to the warrants, Dr. Conrad Murray told investigators that he had administered an intravenous drip of 50 milligrams of propofol to Mr. Jackson nightly to help him sleep for six weeks before the singer’s death at his Holmby Hills home. Dr. Murray also administered lorazepam, an anti-anxiety drug that can be addictive, and midazolam, a muscle relaxant, to treat Mr. Jackson’s insomnia.

The chief coroner for Los Angeles County, Dr. Lakshmanan Sathyavagiswaran, indicated that his preliminary assessment of the cause of death was due to a lethal dose of propofol.

“After approximately 10 minutes, Murray stated he left Jackson’s side to go to the restroom,” the documents show. “Murray stated he was out of the room for about two minutes maximum. Upon his return, Murray noticed that Jackson was no longer breathing.”

Dr. Murray said he tried to resuscitate Jackson and administered flumazenil, a drug to reverse the effects of the sedatives in his system, and then called Jackson’s personal assistant, Michael Amir Williams, for help.

Dr. Murray waited about 82 minutes before anyone called paramedics to the home, according to the court documents.

Investigators said Dr. Murray did not initially tell paramedics or doctors that he had given Mr. Jackson propofol.

Music fans across the world were in mourning today for pop star Michael Jackson.

The star died in Los Angeles after suffering suspected heart failure. He was 50.

His brother, Jermaine, said: “My brother, the legendary King of Pop, passed away on Thursday June 25 at 2.26pm.

“We believe he suffered a cardiac arrest at his home, however the cause of his death is unknown until the results of the autopsy are known. The personal physician who was with him at the time attempted to resuscitated him.”

The self-styled King of Pop was due to perform 50 farewell concerts in London this summer, bowing out on an illustrious music career spanning several decades while aiming to restore his personal fortunes.

The singer had been plagued by rumours of near bankruptcy and wild spending sprees, while his record sales had dived amid lurid reports about his private life.

In 2005 he was acquitted of child molestation charges, but his reputation was seriously damaged.

The figure was being made in London to mark the debut of his comeback This Is It concerts in July (09), and features the lifelike pop star wearing clothes identical to the wardrobe he was planning to wear onstage in the U.K.

Madame Tussauds bosses were keen to complete work on the waxwork, which was put on ice following Jackson’s death, so the $300,000 (£200,000) figure could be unveiled in Los Angeles in time for what would have been the singer’s 51st birthday on 29 August (09).

Since his birthday is Saturday, I just wanted to hear what everyone will be doing in honor of him. I plan on wearing white that day and placing a candle in the window. I also plan on donating $51 to the Heal the World Foundation in memory of what would have been his 51st birthday.
