So, fill me in here: have we decided, as a culture, that now is the time to be making jokes about the Fort Hood shooting? By my reckoning, that avenue of japery currently fits squarely in the “Too Soon!” category. But as it turns out, Michael Mukasey, an ostensibly responsible individual who I am reliably informed was once Attorney General of the United States, is out there, yukking it up, riffing on this recent tragedy.
